Secondary English

Secondary English is a stage to build upon foundational
skills learned in Primary English and prepares students for
both further study and work.

When enrolled in our secondary English lessons students
have the opportunity to delve into complex texts such as
novels, plays, poetry, non-fiction etc.

Students learn to analyse, interpret and understand the
literature themes, characters, plot and literacy devices so
that when it comes to writing it all down for any question
whether it be 8, 12, 16 OR even 40 marks it comes naturally
to them.

Along the journey of making our students experts in
breaking down those long pesky texts we are also
simultaneously building their writing skills to make sure
they write according to the purpose, audience and format
